Real Estate Walkthrough
Create immersive property walkthroughs, panoramic shots and dollhouse views with Harv.ant. Share with buyers and clients instantly â no app download required on their end.
What you can create
A single Harv.ant scan of a property produces three deliverables for your listing:
Walkthrough
Interactive first-person walk through the property. Buyers navigate room to room at their own pace.
Dollhouse view
Bird's-eye 3D model of the entire property. Instantly communicates layout and room relationships.
Floor plan
Dimensioned 2D floor plan ready to attach to the listing or share with prospective buyers.
Preparing the property
A well-prepared property makes a dramatically better walkthrough. Brief your vendor on these points before the scan day:
- Declutter all rooms â remove personal items, excess furniture and anything on bench tops
- Open all blinds and curtains â natural light improves both the scan quality and the visual appearance
- Turn on all lights â including overhead, lamps and under-cabinet lighting
- Remove cars from the garage if scanning internal garage space
- Close toilet lids â a small detail that makes a big difference in a walkthrough
- Put pets and their accessories away
Scanning workflow
Start at the front entry
Begin your scan at the front door â this is where buyers will start their virtual walkthrough, so it needs to feel welcoming. Capture the entry hall from the doorway before moving in.
Scan room by room in logical order
Move through the property in the same order a buyer would during a physical inspection â entry, living, dining, kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms. This creates a natural flow in the walkthrough experience.
Capture connecting spaces
Hallways, stairwells and transition spaces are important â they're how Harv.ant connects rooms into a coherent floor plan. Give each connecting space its own scan pass, don't just rush through them.
Include outdoor areas
Scan the rear garden, alfresco, balcony and garage separately. These are selling points â don't skip them. Use the exterior scanning mode for large outdoor areas.
Capture panoramic positions
In each main room, find the best vantage point â usually a corner or the centre â and do a slow 360° sweep from that position. These become the panoramic view nodes in the walkthrough.
Generate and review
Once scanning is complete, tap Generate walkthrough. Processing takes a few minutes. Review the dollhouse view first to check the floor plan looks correct, then walk through each room to check for gaps before sharing.
Sharing with clients
Generating a share link
Tap Share on any completed project to generate a link. The link opens a full browser-based walkthrough â no app, no login required for the viewer.
Client comments
Buyers and clients can leave comments and annotations directly in the browser walkthrough. You'll receive a notification and can respond or action items from within Harv.ant. This replaces the back-and-forth of emailing annotated screenshots.
Embedding in your listing
Harv.ant walkthroughs can be embedded directly into your agency website or real estate portal listing using the embed code found in Share â Embed. The embedded player is responsive and works on all devices.
Tips for a great walkthrough
- Scan in the late morning when natural light is even â avoid harsh midday sun through west-facing windows
- Take your time in the kitchen â benchtops, splashbacks and appliances are what buyers scrutinise most
- Capture built-in wardrobes with the doors open â buyers want to see storage
- In bathrooms, get close to fixtures â vanity, shower recess and bath need clear coverage
- For multi-storey homes, scan each floor completely before moving up â don't go back and forth between floors
